Water and Sewerage
The water sources for the different parish cities and townships are provided by the individual cities, towns and villages of the parish. Each municipality maintains its own separate sewage system, all of which are also responsible for standard water treatment and purification procedures.
Solid Waste
Jefferson Davis Parish has two separate companies that provide solid waste disposal to all urban areas. Waste Management, Inc., and Browning Ferris Industries (B.F.I.) serve the parish communities. Jeff Davis Parish owns a regional solid waste disposal facility which offers the possibility of a supply of raw materials necessary for use in the secondary re-manufacturing market.
