The Jeff Davis Parish Office of Economic Development, which also includes the Jeff Davis Parish Film Commission, collectively provides professional assistance to the current expanding businesses as well as prospective new business opportunities for the entire parish.
The mission of the Office of Economic Development is to enhance the ability of our rural communities to develop, grow, and improve the overall quality of life by targeting financial and technical resources in areas of greatest need through activities of greatest potential. Understanding that economic development is a process, it is our intent to create opportunities, to leverage government resources, and to promote private sector development.
While the office works in tandem with the local communities in the parish, the strong suit is the continual support of the Regional Economic Development Alliances that exist throughout the five-parish area. This is achieved by engaging an aggressive, but well-balanced public/private initiative to maintain the process of economic industrial development.
The overwhelming goal is to maintain Jeff Davis Parish in a state of economic readiness in both traditional and non-traditional high profile arenas.
